Every year we analyse data on hair transplant clinics around the world and give awards to the clinics that best meet the criteria that matter most to international patients. The award is built on published, weighted criteria, the same for every clinic.

In the 2026 awards, IdealofMeD received the prize as the leading hair transplant clinic of the year. The award is based on the requirements and inputs we apply to clinics across the entire assessment framework, from medical involvement in the critical steps to documented results and the handling of international patients.
IdealofMeD distinguished itself in this year's assessment across the weighted criteria, including:

How the award works
Throughout the year Hårtransplantation.dk collects data on hair transplant clinics around the world: medical staffing and involvement, methods, certifications and health authority approvals, hygiene and quality standards, price structure and transparency, patient handling across languages, and documented before and after results over time. The data comes from the clinics' own documentation, publicly available registers and certification bodies, and our ongoing dialogue with clinics and patients.
At the end of the year we score the clinics across the weighted criteria that also underpin our guide to choosing a clinic. The criteria are published and identical for everyone. Clinics cannot buy a place in the award, a place can only be earned by meeting the criteria.
Why an annual award?
The market for hair transplantation is global, hard to see through and driven by marketing. For the individual patient it is almost impossible to compare a clinic in Istanbul with one in Warsaw or Copenhagen on any sound basis. An annual, criteria-based award gives patients a qualified point of reference, and gives clinics an incentive to compete on documented quality rather than on advertising budgets.
The award is at the same time part of our broader work: to collect and structure global data on hair transplant providers and present it to an international audience, so that more people achieve a successful treatment. After the award, our consultants help patients get in touch with relevant clinics in their own language, and the price for the patient is the same as if they had approached the clinic directly.
About the 2026 award
In 2026 the prize went to IdealofMeD, which across the weighted criteria delivered the strongest overall profile: specialist involvement in the critical steps, documented and consistent results, international certifications, a patient model with a maximum of 1-2 patients per day and exclusively permanent staff, together with a transparent price structure and structured follow-up of international patients after they travel home.
