All content on Hårtransplantation.dk is provided for information purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The content cannot replace an individual assessment by a doctor, a dermatologist or another qualified health professional. Hair loss can have many causes, and treatments such as Finasteride, Minoxidil, Dutasteride and surgery carry both benefits and risks that should be discussed with a professional. Never start, change or stop a treatment solely on the basis of something you read here. You should always seek professional advice before making decisions about your health.

We are not an independent body

Hårtransplantation.dk is a commercial knowledge platform and not an independent or officially approved body. We may be directly or indirectly connected with third parties, including clinics, intermediaries and other operators in the industry. We may receive a fee, commission or other form of compensation when a patient contacts or chooses a clinic through us. Our assessments, rankings and awards should be read in the light of this. We aim to apply consistent, published criteria, but the content should not be understood as a completely impartial assessment.

No extra cost to you

If you come into contact with a clinic through Hårtransplantation.dk, it does not change the price you pay. The price is the same as if you had approached the clinic directly. Any compensation to us is paid by the clinic and does not affect your quotation.

Personal data and GDPR

We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Danish data protection legislation. When you contact us via a form, WhatsApp or email, we process the information you provide yourself (for example name, contact details, country and information about your situation) for the purpose of answering your enquiry and, where relevant, putting you in touch with a suitable clinic.

We may disclose your information to one or more third-party clinics, with which you can then enter into direct dialogue. We obtain your consent where this is required, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. We retain information only for as long as is necessary for the purpose.

Your rights

Under the data protection rules you have the right of access to, rectification of and erasure of your personal data, the right to restrict or object to the processing, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you believe that we are processing your data in breach of the rules. Cookies and third parties

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. Beyond that, the site does not currently set any tracking or analytics cookies. If we add any, we will ask for your consent first, through the banner shown on the site, and update this section to list exactly what is used and why.

The site may embed content and links to third parties. Third parties' own terms and privacy policies apply to their processing of your data. We encourage you to read the policies of the relevant clinics and services before you provide information to them.

Photographs and health information

If you attach photographs of your scalp or hair, or describe your hair loss, you are giving us information about your health. Under the GDPR that is a special category of personal data, and we process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you send the form.

We use it for one purpose: so that the clinic we match you with can assess your case and reply to you. We do not store your photographs on our own systems: when you submit the form, they are sent once, as an email attachment, directly to that clinic, and nothing is saved to a database or kept on our servers. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; since we do not keep a copy ourselves, we will pass your request on and ask the clinic to delete what they hold.

Where your data goes

Your enquiry is sent to the clinic we match you with. Some of the clinics we compare are in Denmark and elsewhere in the EU; others are outside the EU and the EEA, in countries that are not covered by an adequacy decision from the European Commission. Depending on which clinic fits your case, sending your enquiry may mean your details and any photographs are transferred outside the EU.

We tell you this before you send anything so the choice is yours. If you would rather not have your data leave the EU, do not use the form and write to us by email instead.

Limitation of liability

We make every effort to ensure that the content is correct and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, accurate or current at all times. We accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of the content or for services delivered by third-party clinics. Any course of treatment is a matter between you and the clinic you choose.
